Japanese electronics giant has revealed yet another smartphone in its Xperia series that will be competing with the likes of Apple iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy Note III, HTC One M7
This Smartphone from the Japanese manufacturer which is code named as Sony Xperia Z Ultra (ZU or Togari) packs in some great specifications making it a desirable handset with an awesome combination of smart looks & great performance. Sony Xperia Z Ultra (Togari) will be available for a grab from Q3 of 2013 and the expected price is Euros 719 / US Dollars 940 / Rupees 56000/- ( these are guesstimates only). This smartphone will be available in 3 model nos viz; C6802 (HSPA+), C6806 (4G / LTE), C6833 (4G / LTE). The smartphone sports a huge 6.4 Inch Triluminos Capacitive touch screen with multi touch upto 10 fingers & Sony's native UI. The display resolution of Sony Xperia ZU (Z Ultra) is full HD i.e; 1080 x 1920 Pixels, ~344 ppi pixels density, 16 M Colours. Dimensionally this samrtphone is just 0.3 mm thicker than Huawei Ascend P6 as it measures 179.4 x 92.2 x 6.5 mm (7.06 x 3.63 x 0.26 in), but it is really bulky as it weighs 212 gms (7.48 oz) & there are three colour options to select from Black, White & Purple. Sony Xperia Z Ultra brags of Shatter Proof & Scratch Resistant Glass which is a must keeping in mind the display size. The IP58 (Ingress Protection) certificate makes this smartphone dust & water proof, this smartphone can be dipped upto 1 Meter of water for 30 minutes. We all are aware that technology innovation is a tradition in Sony & this smarphone features a Triluminos Display Technology which uses Quantum Dots or nanocrystals to display information. As per the rumour mills Triluminos Display will give an enhanced performance compared to Retina Display & Super AMOLED displays. Sony Xperia ZU (Z Ultra) will come out of the box with Android OS v4.2 (Jelly Bean). On the technical front this smartphone is fully loaded which makes is a pleasure for multi tasker & gamer. The smartphone packs within an internal memory of 16 GB & further supports upto 64 GB microSD. On the Data transfer aspect this smartphone features Wifi, Wifi Direct, Wifi HotSpot, DLNA, NFC, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB 2.0 (MHL), USB on-the-go.
