Smartphone industry is growing at lightning speed & hence even the big players have to launch new model every few days to cater the dynamic needs of the prospects. This smartphone from the South Korea's electronics giant is code named as Samsung Galaxy Light & samsung has moderately loaded it on the specifications front, which means it will be targeting the mid price range market. Samsung Galaxy Light is a 4G / LTE ready smartphone with a support for single SIM. This smartphone sports a 4 Inch Capacitive touch screen with multi touch. The WVGA display Samsung Galaxy Light packs in a resolution of 480 x 800 Pixels, ~233 ppi pixels density, 16 M Colours. Many smartphone buyers will find this smartphone appealing due to its size as it measures 121.4 x 63 x 10.4 mm (4.78 x 2.48 x 0.41 in), while this smartphone is also very light in weight as it is mere 122.8 gms (4.34 oz) & there will be no confusion in selecting the colour of this smartphone because there is only one option viz; Dark Brown. The front panel of Samsung Galaxy Light is protected by a scratch resistant glass, hence it is ready for rough usage (kidding). Under the skin this smartphone holds a Quadcore 1.4 GHz Processor with 1 GB of RAM, while not much is known about the Chipset & GPU. The internal memory stuffed in this smartphone is of 8 GB which can be further suplemented with a microSD card upto 64 GB. Samsung Galaxy Light will come out of the box with Android OS v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is very disappointing because nowadays even indigenous manufacturers like micromax, karbonn, lava, etc give at least Jelly Bean pre installed on their latest smartphones. The data connectivity aspect of this smartphone features Wifi, Wifi HotSpot, DLNA, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP & EDR, microUSB v2.0, NFC. For positioning this smartphone has packed in GPS with support for A GPS. The Primary camera of this Samsung Galaxy Light is of 5 MP with LED flash light, auto focus, geo tagging, touch focus, face detection. This Primary camera is capable of clicking images of 2592 x 1944 Pixels resolution & record videos of 720 P @ 30 fps. There is a VGA secondary camera on the front panel for video chatting. Battery juice is the biggest concern of any Android smartphone buyer and Samsung Galaxy Light packs in a Li-ion battery with a juice of mere 1800 mAh.
