Its just few weeks since the launch of Micromax Canvas 4 and the company has launched yet another smartphone to its canvas series which is code named as Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 model no: A240. This smartphone from the house of Indigenous company will be competing with Samsung Mega series keeping in the mind the display size of 5.7 Inch. The smartphone is available online for Rs. 18999/- onwards on various websites. Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 Model no: A240 is a 3G dual SIM (GSM + GSM) smartphone & it sports a gigantic 5.7 Inch IPS`LCD Capacitve touch screen with multi touch. The HD display of this smartphone looks brilliant as it packs in a resolution of 720 x 1280 Pixels, ~258 ppi pixels density, 16 M Colours. Dimensionally this huge Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 measures 161 x 82.5 x 8.9 mm (6.34 x 3.25 x 0.35 in), on the weight front it disappoints a bit as it comes almost closer to a tablet due to 220 gms (7.76 oz) & there is only one flavour to select from viz; Silver. There are not points for guessing that the second installement also comes with a Stylus. Technically this smartphone is ready for multi tasking and gaming as it holds under the hood a Quadcore 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 processor, MediaTek MTK6589 Chipset, PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 1 GB RAM. The internal memory stored in Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 is of 16 GB of which only 13 GB is user available. Micromax has skipped on a microSD card slot for this smartphone which is another disappointment. This smartphone will come out of the box with Android OS v4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). On the data connectivity front Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 features WiFi, WiFi HotSpot, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB v2.0. For positioning this smartphone has packed in GPS with support for A GPS. On the rear panel of Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 is a 12 MP Primary camera with Dual LED flash light, auto focus, geo tagging, touch focus, image stabilization, face and smile detection, HDR. This snapper is capable of clicking images of resolution 4000 x 3000 pixels & record HD videos of 1080 P @ 30 fps. On the front panel is a 5 MP secondary camera which will give a pleasant video chatting experience. The Li-ion battery packed in Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 stores a juice of 2600 mAh.
